GREAT EASTERN WOMEN 10K on 26 October 2008.

Volunteered my service at GE Women's Run this year though I could jolly well slack and rest at home instead of waking up so early once again. Seems like we (me and sean) enjoyed helping out my ex-boss. Work aint tough especially that we din follow through-out the preparations; we are just there to help out on event day. I was tasked to take charge of those ELITE runners (past year winners) to make sure they appeared and were brought to the front of the crowd. BF was in charge of baggage counter as usual to what he did for Nike Human Race. Working at ESG is tough and tiring; but it's that experience that counts and it's the companion that matters rather than the work. dilemma. I guessed me and sean just missed our usual events gang. Things aint the same anymore.
Some random pictures taken by my iphone.
horrendous amount of PEARLS.
GE volunteer top and lanyard
View of the Elites Hotel Room at Swissotel The Stamford.
Orh. that's my NB REAL Run 2008 Start/ End structure.
If time permits and if ex-boss requires, me and sean will be helping out in the swissotel vertical marathon too. just purely volunteering our service only! (:
Life aint great now.

Lincoln (intern), Yeow Seng, Sunarti, Han Wee (Boss), Roy and Sean.

Full strength picture of my events department half a year ago.

It was kind of sad to realised that 3 out of 6 people you can see from the picture above (ignore the intern on the left) left the department for future career advancements. The atmosphere in our events department wasnt the same anymore ever since their departure. No fun, and work wasnt that enjoyable as per last months. Nevertheless, I'm glad that i am able to learn stuffs from my boss who left the department in mid september 2008 which is also the month that i entered 1 year ago. I feel happy for him too as he is able to handle more similar running events w/o doing things in much constraint. And I felt honoured to be under someone who is going to be the HEAD HEAD HEAD for many many other future big scale running events although it's a past thing. Good times and good things sometimes dont last forever.

Luckily i managed to have Roy by my side at all these point of times.

Working in HomeTeamNS now don't seems that motivated as what i felt before they left. The events department now is all messed up with no head and no directions. Are we able to click well with the one they hired previously and future colleagues? I wonder..

Furthermore, it is not the time for a job hop due to the economic recession. hais~

Did someone told you:
"the greater the expectation, the greater the disappointment"

i truly understand what this meant other than applying on studies. sometimes i wld rather not to hope or not having any promises than to face the disappointment. but i just cant help but to have some expectations which in turns make me disappointed. valid reasons can be valid that yes i truly understand. but it's still a disappointment to me on the other hand. tired of all these expecting and disappointment days.

i hate boredom. i hate disappointments.

i am not happy since.. .. ..

shan't talk about these again and again. im sicked of it!

when you're unhappy means you need to find things that make you happy.
it's beeen almost 2 weeks since i last blogged.
been busy with the New Balance REAL Run 2008 esp with my ex boss, and ex colleague not around. they left us since mid september. last sunday was the training run and this week was the official prelude where others named it EXPO. job was not tough but just a lil boring without those "fooling and teasing around" khakis. last year prelude was a much more happier one.

Today i worked the morning shift till 3pm. then i went home after that. though i dun feel like working during weekends but staying at home can be real boring too. Tomorrow is one full day for me and I cant wait for REAL Run to be over, which is on 19 October 2008.

Tired.
