Strongman Challenge 2008 Preliminary Round today held @ BRTC.

went there to help out Roy in the briefing of the contestants of the Rules & Regulations. which i repeat countless times as i am suppose to brief by batches. did some announcement making which i think i need to buck up my guts/ confidence in doing all that. i am always nervous and kan chiong!!! lols. nvrmind it takes time to learn and to pick up every single thing especially when my chemical diploma doesnt train you to speak so so so well except for FYP. Haha! went home at around 4pm and have a nap immediately after a shower. so tireds~

Star apologises over Hong Kong sex photos scandal.

HONG KONG (AFP) - The actor at the centre of an Internet sex photos scandal involving a string of Hong Kong stars admitted Thursday that he took them and announced his retirement from the local entertainment scene.

The explicit photographs of Edison Chen with actresses and pop stars have been plastered across the Internet over the past few weeks, causing a storm in this celebrity-obsessed city.

Speaking publicly for the first time since the scandal broke, Canadian-born Chen, 27, said he had returned to Hong Kong to account for himself.

"I would like now to apologise to all the people for all the suffering that has been caused and the problems that have arisen from this," he said, reading a statement in English to a packed press conference.

"I would like to apologise to all the ladies and to all their families for any harm or hurt that they have been feeling. I am sorry," he said.

Media reports say the photos -- which purportedly show him in compromising positions with various celebrities, including Canto-pop star Gillian Chung, actress Cecilia Cheung and former actress Bobo Chan -- were copied from Chen's computer when he sent it in for repairs.
Chen admitted taking the photos but said they had been stolen from him.

"I admit that most of the photos being circulated on the Internet were taken by me but these photos were very private and have not been shown to people and were never intended to be shown to anyone," said the star of "Grudge II."

"These photos were stolen from me illegally and distributed without my consent. There's no doubt whoever obtained these photos had been uploading them on the Internet with malicious and deliberate intent," he said.

Chen said he was helping the police investigation.

"I have been assisting the police since the first day the photos were published and I will continue to assist them," he said, thanking the police "for their hard work on this case."

Hong Kong police have made several arrests linked to the case, but have faced criticism that they have been over-zealous because the scandal involved celebrities. A charge against one Hong Kong man detained over the photos was dropped last week.

In the wake of the scandal, Vancouver-born Chen said he had now decided to retire from the Hong Kong entertainment scene, whose stars are popular across Asia.

"During my time away I have made an important decision. I will wholeheartedly fulfil all commitments I have to date but after that I have decided to step away from the Hong Kong entertainment industry," he said.

"I have decided to do this to give myself an opportunity to heal myself and to search my soul. I will dedicate my time to charity and community work within the next few months.

"I will be away from Hong Kong entertainment indefinitely."

Chen, who had a supporting role in cop thriller "Infernal Affairs," which Martin Scorsese remade as "The Departed," said he had failed as a role model and apologised to the people of Hong Kong.
"I give my apologies sincerely to you all, unreservedly and with my heart. I know young people in Hong Kong look up to many figures in our society, and in this regard I have failed as a role model," he said.

Chen added that he had instructed his "lawyers to do everything possible within the law to protect all the innocent victims in this case."

"I hope you all will accept my apology and give me a chance."

The scandal has spread across the region, with police in Taiwan and China arresting around a dozen people this week for allegedly possessing and distributing the photographs.

Had Mac for dinner today with Sherlyn. So glad that my friend here had found an interesting job that she likes. So other than being an events coordinator like me, there are jobs whereby you can find real fun. "Promotions Asssistant" at a record company. She joined Warner Music just February this year after quiting her previous job. Glad to know that she enjoyed it too. So afterall, when it comes to working, the most impt factor is to enjoy work and money is just a secondary factor. That happens to me too! =P

Dinner with Shuting and pals yesterday at Cityhall not knowing that ytd was CHINGAY!
Met her and nicholas early since i am out early and we had some tiny snacks (donuts) at Raffles City some donut shop at the basement, dont really rmbs the shop name. same time went to buy my Loreal Mineral Powder Foundation at Robinson. i think it's too dark for my face la yet i dont want to buy whiter ones. so what to do.. i dunno what i should do. hahha! had our dinner at seoul garden marina square as much requested. we walked to HE PAN after that and that is when my diarrhoea ache comes. blame it all on the Seoul Garden lar, i rushed back to Esplanade for toilet. anw, then walked to Clark Quay before taking a cab home. eh, surprisingly i din went for clubbing wor. hahah actually also not so surprsing lar, dont intend to go also.

This was Sean's first event, fully taken care of by him. so i sure must support him right as he supported my IPPT Challenge 08. LOL! if not, he will say i cross bridge break bridge (in chinese) but as requested, all events dpt people are supposed to help out also la. everything was done smoothly. good job everyone. me yeowseng and lincoln (new intern) were in charge of the bowling alley. we had some fun trying to bowl also. the event ended at around 1pm before everyone started to head home.

without knowing it's been 1 week already since i last blog and having lesser pictures to blog recentely. btw today is the third day of chinese lunar new year. this year's cny had been a normal "toned-down" one for me. getting a little lazy to visit pple's home and i just feel like nua-ing at home and to go out with my family and friends. but nvrtheless, it's over. that 2 busy days of the year.

but this year i finally broke my rule of "not-going-chinatown-during-cny" and i went on the eve of CNY. gosh it's like mountain people mountain sea (in chinese) and everyone was like squeezing. duhh~ i was pulling a long face throughout the walk. =/

The Experience
Tried to sneak into Zouk using my sister's citibank clearcard. i was so nervous, so worried and i started to sweat a little while the person was checking the card against my identification. i think it's quite obvious that i am using other people's card lah. It was when he took up the stamp then i started to calm down. LOL! Anyway fyi my sister's name and my name is just a difference in one alphabet only. oppps! WAHAHA! Zouk's definitely better than any other clubs. Song's good, Aircon's Strong, Crowd's good too! (((=

Wells Before going Zouk with Ailing and friends, meet up with Adeline and friends. We went to eat dessert at Liang Seah street, JI DE CHI. Ordered Sesame and Almond paste, it tastes nice, but not viscous enough and it's very gelate when eaten to a certain stage. But definitely hot tastes better than the cold one. hahah!

Back to work tomorrow. and I have a stupid duty on tomorrow. needa stay up at office till 11pm. DUH wish me good luck and hope there's no cockups! )=
